Folks, We have a 1985 Swift DB2 for sale with SCCA and SVRA logbooks. We acquired it in 2016, where it was stripped down to a bare tub, fuel cell pulled and recertified by the manufacture. and completely reassembled. All the suspension was inspected and refinished. We used the car as a club day car at Putnam Park In. it was not driven in the rain since the rebuild and stored in climate-controlled garage when put away. Its nicely sorted and very quick. Quicksilver engine with about 10hrs Refreshed Hewland with new alum diff carrier by Elite Fab. Has about 12 hrs on it Steering rack rebuilt by Elite Fab. (all the slop taken out) Fresh red paint in 2019 and has not been run since All the chassis updates have been done - tub mod for shifter clearance, front suspension braces, additional braces for the rear. Lifetime AMB transponder hardwired. Car was completely rewired with new wiring. includes FIA rain/brake light. AIM Evo4 data logger, with formula car steering wheel (digital display) and Smarty Cam included. The Fox shocks were sent back and overhauled by FOX in 2017. New radiator by Elite Fab in 2017 - set for max cooling, New Stetrab oil cooler in 2017. All the hardware (nuts bolts and washers) and rod ends were replaced in 2017 2 sets of new (2017) Jongbloed rims with unused slicks (2019 date) + set on the car with old tires for transport Car was properly pickled and kept in Climate controlled storage prior to the pandemic and has not been run since. Battery was maintained. Note It will need new seat belts (expired date), a new seat insert (currently has a BaldSpot custom seat) and the fire system will need recertified. An extensive spare package (3 pages of inventory) included. Photos of the strip down and rebuild are included. DESIGN Perhaps one of the best outboard suspension Sports 2000 designs ever made, the Tiga SC84 was the ultimate refinement of Tiga's championship winning designs dating from 1978 in the UK and 1980 in the US. With centerlock wheel fitment and dual roller bearing design, the corners were much more robust and reliable. The newer generation SC85, with it's honeycomb chassis and inboard rear suspension, was never quite as quick at the SC84 versions. This car is easy to drive fast, comfortable and roomy and capable of running in front of most of the newer cars. You can slide it without fear of spinning, as it gives great confidence to the driver. SPARES No junk here! More than a dozen gear sets, many of them strengthened Hewland. Three sets wheels (2 x Gotti originals, one with Hoosier wets, one with low-time Avon slicks, 1 x Jongbloed multi-piece set new in 2003 with two-session Avon slicks date code 2024), two new lower a-arms from Ron Mong, nose box from Speed Unlimited Racing, new Tiga cast aluminum motor mounts, many new suspension tabs, new hardware, plumbing and one splitter, new brake pads (performance friction) and caliper seals, oil filters, new gaskets, Braille lightweight battery. Spare used starter pieces and a spare used long block with pan and oil pump, condition unknown, included in the sale. Tall man roll bar included. The Original Swift DB2 Prototype is available for purchase. This is the car that Steve Shelton drove at the 1984 SCCA Runoffs to a podium finish. The car has been gone through completly by DBS Motorsports in the Atlanta Area. The car has a two-hour engine built by Wayne Brown RB Motorsports in Brunswick, Georgia. Freshly refinshed bodywork by Mike Cotrell at Sentry in Atlanta to it's original livery. Paul Pfanner of Racer Magazine designed the cars livery during the inception. It is a gorgeous representation of a S2000 and fast as all get out. We can get you some body off pictures on request. I am looking for a few items to put the Swift back together for the spring. Needed: • Upper and lower control arms as well as steering linkage for the RF. These components collapsed in as designed in an impact. • The body is a DB5 on the DB2 chassis - any spare DB5 noses out there? • Will be looking for another set of wheels as well - only the RF was damaged, however will be looking for a set. • I believe the spindle is ok, however if there is a RF spindle / upright set up for the LD65 braks, it would be something to change out while I am making repairs. 1992 Swift DB5 #92-024 I purchased this car from Mark Schue with the intention of getting back into S2000. Plans have changed and I have decided to sell it. Mark ran this car in the NorPac division where it won 3 Championships.  It has the most extensive spares package you can imagine (list available to interested buyers) Uprights, suspension, Gears, nuts bolts, tools you name it Mark had it. He summed it up to me that his spares collection was borderline hoarder level. There is enough to handle running this car for several years. SVRA rules state car weight is with driver @ #185. Is this also true of S2? Weight could either be #1310 or #1335 with the alternate camshaft. Also do VSCDA and other vintage groups follow the same rule for weight, Being with driver? Thank you!
