Saturday:
The second qualifying round of the weekend would prove to be the fastest session of the weekend.
Ben Sinnott took pole with a blistering 1:12.862 which is within a tenth of the unofficial lap record and
John Thompson set a personal best to round out the front row with a 1:13.663. Behind the front two
were Sherwood, Brent Gernert, Jim Hallman, Jack Freehoff, Bryan Gernert, Kevin Wittman.
The first race of the weekend saw John Thompson get a great jump and drag race Sinnott down to
T1, Thompson was able to secure the lead and held it for the first few laps. Eventually, Sinnott
worked his way past Thompson and checked out on the field, winning by over 14 seconds. The
podium was rounded out by Thompson and Sherwood. Further down the order the two white Swifts
had a good race on track and looked good doing it. The order finished Ben Sinnott, John Thompson,
Rob Sherwood, Brent Gernert, Jim Hallman, Jack Freehoff, Bryan Gernert, Kevin Wittman.
Sunday:
Our 2nd and final race of the weekend again had Ben Sinnott and John Thompson lead the field to
the flag. The two front runners had a strong race with Rob Sherwood not far behind waiting for
something to happen. Sure enough, with 6 laps to go, Sherwood benefited when Thompson had an
engine issue and retired. This resulted in Brent Gernert securing his only podium of the weekend in
the new to him, ex-Kendall, Lola. Jim Hallman hung on to the back of Brent setting some very
respectable lap times. Jack Freehoff and Kevin Wittman rounded out the field running
