Here is some short background info on my Swift.
I bought the car from Mike Finch out of Austin, TX. Mike was formerly a
professional Sports 2000 racer. He was sponsored by Elite Motors because he
was very competitive. This car came out of Texas from a former heart surgeon
who had it professionally maintained for many years. When he could no longer
race, Mike purchased the car for his son to race. The tub was completely
rebuilt and polished recently and is very tight and updated. It has a new
Elite motor and the gearbox along with brake calipers and many other parts
that have been rebuilt and updated. The shocks on the car are Fox and have
been dyno'd and oil changed by Dave Free. Mike's son, who graduated with a
mechanical engineering degree, was hired by Roger Penske's race team as a
chassis engineer, so he was no longer available to race the car. That is
when I bought the car.
The motor is extremely strong and the gearbox shifts like butter. Simon
Green drove it once at PIR last year and was very fast. He was very
impressed with the car's capabilities. All the body work on the car is
painted metallic blue. Any orange or white vinyl can be easily removed.
I am asking $30,000 for the car and a pretty good spare parts package.
